難道76人真的沒辦法脫離傷病魔咒纏身？繼Joel Embiid之後，陣中2大主力球員Jahlil Okafor以及Robert Covington也因傷痛的關係，本季提前「關機」，而且3人都是因為膝蓋半月板的傷勢而結束球季。
根據《ESPN》的報導，在最新一次的核磁共振檢查過後，Covington的右膝半月板被檢查出有輕微的撕裂傷，目前尚未確定是否得進行手術治療，但球團已決定讓他本季到此為止。
現年26歲的Covington本季為76人出賽67場，平均上場時間為生涯新高31分鐘，場均可攻下12.9分、6.5籃板，是76人側翼最重要的球員，本季也曾以絕殺帶領球隊贏球。
至於Okafor則是一直受到右膝痠痛影響，為了保險起見球團也乾脆讓他提前「關機」，Okafor在上個球季便曾因為右膝半月板破裂、動刀治療的關係而提前結束球季。
由於76人陣中還有Embiid以及Dario Saric2名潛力長人，加上傷勢影響，Okafor本季表現空間受到擠壓，僅出賽50場比賽，場均出賽22.7分鐘，可攻下11.8分、4.8籃板、1阻攻，成績較上個球季遜色不少，不過他所展現出來的進攻天分還是讓人相當購物期待。
76人近年來總是有年輕球員因傷提前報銷，Embiid在2014年選進後一直到本季才能夠出賽，就連被交易送走的Nerlens Noel在76人時期也是打打停停，本季狀元郎Ben Simmons也在開季前便受傷至今，或許76人真的得看看球館地底下是否被人埋球衣詛咒了。
本屆經典賽中華隊以3連敗收場，再度創下難堪的紀錄，繼2009年經典賽後，未來將再次打資格賽，但這也讓人想起，當初「棒球振興計畫」是否已有好轉？還是其實中華隊的問題，不是只在比賽跟球員身上？
撇開大聯盟等級的荷蘭隊與地主南韓隊，這次A組3戰全勝的以色列隊幾乎就是美國隊，以小聯盟為主的2A、3A球員光是打線就夠讓人頭痛，與其說輸在情蒐，不如說在整體棒球實力需要再提升，觀念與養成還要加強。
美國大聯盟的棒球體系完整，每次升上一級，就代表球隊有更多期待，也給了球員新的目標。胡金龍認為：「以色列隊的球員觀念很好，他們也很會玩球，所以也很像小聯盟的球隊一樣。」
就像首戰中華隊落敗，不少球迷痛批的7局「短打清壘」事件一樣，以色列隊是投打都很出色的球隊，看到中華隊防守站位以雙殺為主，就立即採用「安全短打」的戰術，也就是一邊希望可以上壘，一邊推進跑者的戰術。
這類戰術球員絕對知道，但雙方諜對諜，就像林琨笙說的，「我們在小細節沒做好」，相信整體棒球實力提升，比謾罵球員教練更有用。
此外，也要佩服以色列隊的戰術執行能力，這也是中華隊、甚至國內棒球需要思考的地方。
過去就有人提出，是否開放更多棒球觀念，前進海外學習棒球知識，而這幾年「陳偉殷棒球訓練營」等就是很好的例子，也的確開啟不少人對美式、日式棒球養成方式討論，但還不夠，未來台灣的確需要有更多國外棒球知識與觀念帶入。
若未來中職或是國內棒球有完整的球員養成與升降制度，業餘棒球教練觀念也能逐漸完整，再加上球場設施能夠完備，相信中華隊重回世界列強的日子，絕對不是夢想。
來台推廣三對三籃球活動的前NBA球星Shawn Marion，30日接受媒體專訪大談籃球心路歷程，提及2011年在小牛的奪冠經驗，Marion表示這讓他的生涯沒有遺憾，也相當慶幸自己不必在生涯晚年為了追逐冠軍而屈居板凳。
「拿下冠軍是所有球員的夢想，但現實就是很多優秀的球員也只打過首輪季後賽而已。」Marion表示：「所以2011年能夠拿下冠軍對我來說真的非常特別，這讓我在考慮要不要退休時更簡單了一些。」
「當然我絕對不會只想拿一次冠軍，相信我、我絕對會想要第2、第3座冠軍，但很遺憾地我們後來沒有成功。」Marion強調自己是好勝心相當強的競爭者，與其在板凳上多賺到幾枚戒指，他更想要在球場上奮戰。
「你在板凳上也是球隊的一分子，練習時也有所貢獻，拿下冠軍當然與有榮焉。」Marion表示：「但我更喜歡在場上競爭，為球隊有所貢獻，這對我來說感覺是大不相同。
Marion強調自己當然不會拿了一座冠軍就感到滿足，但已經有奪冠的經驗讓他在退休時沒有遺憾。
過去身為球隊攻守核心，Marion在太陽時期打出非常驚人的明星級數據，9年的太陽生涯平均可以攻下18.4分10籃板，2005-06球季更是有21.8分、11.8籃板、1.7火鍋、2抄截的全面數據。

離開太陽後Marion始終不再是球隊進攻第一選擇，數據也明顯下滑不少，對此他則是甘之如飴：「不管是在太陽還是小牛，對我來說就只是生涯不同的階段，我在每支球隊都有不同的任務，在太陽時我們打小球戰術，需要很多我的外線、衝擊籃框的得分能力。」
「在小牛時他們則更需要我的防守，我就是這麼打球的，球隊需要什麼我就會想辦法去貢獻什麼。」Marion表示為了贏球他什麼都願意做：「這就只是是角色定位的不同罷了，我不會在意自己的成績。」
